1cupfreshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
Add the sausage pieces and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through—about 10 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté for another 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant. Remove sausage from skillet and set aside.
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rotini according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.
In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
Pour in the heavy cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk until combined and warmed through.
Slowly stir in Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce is smooth, creamy, and thickened—about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the drained pasta to the sauce. Toss gently to coat. Add pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.
Fold in the cooked sausage bites or spoon them over the top. Garnish with parsley.
Serve hot and enjoy every cheesy, garlicky bite.
