Instructions

  • Melt chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted chocolate mixture, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  • Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto the prepared sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
