Equipment

  • Baking Dish
  • Large Pot
  • Skillet

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 10 ounces Dried Egg Noodles

Meat

  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef

Soup

  • 2 cans Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup 10.75 ounces each

Dip

  • 1 jar Lay's French Onion Dip 15 ounces

Topping

  • 1 cup French's Fried Onions

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease for a lighter casserole.
  • Reduce the heat to low, then stir in both cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup and the full jar of French onion dip. Mix well to combine everything into a thick, creamy sauce.
  • Add the drained noodles to the beef and sauce mixture, stirring gently to ensure all noodles are coated evenly.
  • Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the cup of French’s fried onions evenly over the top for an irresistible crispy crust.
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the onions are golden brown.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey for beef or use low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
