Instructions
In a large, deep-sided skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
Return the skillet to the stove, add onions and minced garlic, and cook until onions are soft and translucent.
Stir in sesame oil, carrots, and coleslaw mix. Use tongs to mix the ingredients well and cook for about 5 minutes.
In a separate small bowl, mix together onion powder, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, ground ginger, soy sauce, and vegetable oil. Pour this seasoning mix over the meat and vegetables in the skillet.
Reduce the heat and let everything simmer together for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Garnish with green onions if desired and serve hot.
Notes
For a spicier version, add more red pepper flakes. Swap ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Pre-shredded coleslaw mix makes prep even easier!
