Ingredients

Canned Fruit Filling

  • 1 can Pie Filling Use your favorite flavor, opened and ready to spread.

Cake Mix

  • 1 box Jiffy Golden Yellow Cake Mix Dry, do not mix with liquids.

Butter

  • 1/2 stick Butter Chilled or room temperature, thinly sliced.

Sugar and Spices

  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Granulated sugar for sprinkling on top, adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Optional or more to preference.
  • 1 can Non-stick Cooking Spray To grease the baking dish before assembling.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Spray the inside of your baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Spread canned pie filling evenly in the bottom of the pan.
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix over the fruit filling in an even layer.
  • Place thin slices of butter evenly across the top of the dry cake mix.
  • Sprinkle sugar and ground cinnamon over the entire top for added sweetness and flavor.
  • Bake for 25–35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly around the edges.
  • Allow to cool slightly and enjoy warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
