Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the meat is browned and the onion looks translucent. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
Next, stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, mixed vegetables, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix it well until everything is combined.
Now, transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the beef mixture.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
