Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vegetable oil.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix!
Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
This cornbread is best served warm. You can enjoy it plain, or spread a little butter on top.
