Ingredients

Canned Peach Filling

  • 2 cans Peaches, drained 15 oz each
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg optional

Pie Crust

  • 1 package Pre-made Pie Crust or homemade
  • 1 egg Beaten Egg for egg wash

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a 9-inch pie dish with a pie crust.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine drained peaches, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until well coated.
  • Pour the peach mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  • Cover with the second pie crust, crimp the edges, and cut small slits on top to allow steam to escape.
  • Brush the top crust with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  • Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of ginger or using a crumble topping instead of a second pie crust. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delicious touch!
