Dr Pepper Ribs

Ingredients

Ribs

  • 2 racks baby back ribs

Sauce

  • 1 can Dr Pepper 12 oz
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • to taste Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs. Rinse under cool water and pat dry.
  • In a bowl, combine BBQ sauce, Dr Pepper, brown sugar, Worcestershire, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush generously with sauce, then cover tightly with foil.
  • Bake for 2 hours until the ribs are tender.
  • Remove foil, brush with more sauce, and broil for 3–5 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and caramelized.
  • Let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra sauce on the side.

Notes

Customize the sauce with different BBQ flavors or add cayenne for heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
