Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Large Serving Bowl

Ingredients

Chips

  • 1 large bag Dorito Nacho Cheese Chips Broken into smaller pieces

Meat

  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning

Vegetables

  • 1 medium Red Onion Diced
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • 1 head Lettuce Shredded
  • 6 Tomatoes Chopped

Dressings

  • 1/2 cup Italian Dressing
  • 2 cups Ranch Dressing

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the lean ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  • Drain any excess grease, and then stir in the taco seasoning according to the package instructions. Add a little water if needed to ensure the beef is well coated with seasoning. Simmer for a few minutes until aromatic.
  • In a large serving bowl, layer the shredded lettuce on the bottom.
  • Sprinkle over the diced red onion and chopped tomatoes, followed by the seasoned ground beef.
  • Add in the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef layer.
  • Finally, crush the Dorito chips over the cheese, and then drizzle with both Italian and ranch dressings.
  • Toss gently to combine all the ingredients, ensuring the dressings coat everything evenly.
  • Serve immediately, or refrigerate for about 30 minutes for the flavors to meld!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To avoid soggy chips, add the Doritos only just before serving.
