  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounce) Campbell's French onion soup
  • 1.5 lbs Ground beef
  • 0.5 cup Dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon Ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, dry breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Form into oval-shaped patties, about 1 inch thick.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook patties for 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Pour French onion soup over the patties, cover, and let simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot with mashed potatoes or your favorite sides!

Notes

Substitute breadcrumbs with crushed crackers or panko. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
