  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Strawberry Jam or Preserves
  • to taste Fresh Strawberries, diced (optional)
  • 20-24 pieces Wonton Wrappers
  • as needed Water, for sealing the edges
  • as needed oil Vegetable Oil, for frying

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and strawberry jam until smooth. Fold in diced strawberries if using.
  • Lay out wonton wrappers and place a spoonful of filling in the center of each.
  • Moisten the edges with water, fold into a triangle, and press tightly to seal.
  • Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or large pot.
  • Fry wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve warm with extra strawberry jam or whipped cream.

Notes

For a healthier option, bake at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze un-fried wontons for up to a month.
