  • 2 cups Fresh dandelion petals Yellow parts only, no green stems.
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 lemon Juice of lemon Juice from half a lemon.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Harvest Dandelion Petals: Pick fresh dandelion blossoms, and gently separate the yellow petals only. Rinse to clean.
  • Make the Syrup: In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  • Flavor It: Add dandelion petals, lemon juice, and vanilla to the syrup. Stir well to incorporate.
  • Simmer: Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes until syrup thickens.
  • Shape Candy: Remove from heat. Spoon drops onto parchment paper and allow to cool until firm.
  • Serve: Peel and enjoy, or store in an airtight container for later!

Notes

Use dandelions from chemical-free areas only. Experiment with additional flavorings like almond or rosewater. Store in a cool, dry place for up to two weeks.
