  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Once done, drain it and set it aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the Italian sausage, breaking it into pieces and cooking until it is browned.
  • Next, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, and bring everything to a simmer.
  • Reduce the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce is smooth.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss it to coat with the creamy sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve it garnished with fresh parsley.
