  • 12 ounces Pasta (like rigatoni or penne)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) Diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until it is al dente. Once it’s done, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the Italian sausage to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it apart as it cooks. Cook until it is browned and no longer pink.
  • Next, add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, drained diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Finally, mix in the cooked pasta and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce. Don’t forget to season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the dish garnished with chopped fresh basil for a nice touch!
