  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb Crab meat

Base Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks Celery, finely chopped
  • 1 medium Carrot, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 4 cups Seafood stock
  • 1 cup Heavy cream

Seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, celery, and carrot. Sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).
  • Sprinkle in flour and stir constantly for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually add seafood stock while whisking. Bring to a simmer and let flavors meld.
  • Add shrimp and crab meat. Cook for 3-5 minutes until shrimp turns pink.
  • Stir in heavy cream, season with salt and pepper, and warm through without boiling.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut milk for heavy cream. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
