Equipment

  • Casserole Dish
  • Skillet
  • Mixing Spoon

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 small head Green Cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish and set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef to the pan. Brown the beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully cooked and no longer pink. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, tossing to combine. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage has softened slightly.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir everything together until the cheese melts into a creamy sauce and everything is well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish, spreading it into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For the creamiest result, use full-fat heavy cream and fresh, quality cheese. Feel free to swap in purple cabbage or add extra veggies for nutrition.
