Ingredients
1poundGround Beef
1small headGreen Cabbage, chopped
1mediumOnion, diced
2clovesGarlic, minced
1cupHeavy Cream
1cupShredded Cheddar Cheese
1teaspoonPaprika
1teaspoonSalt
1/2teaspoonBlack Pepper
2tablespoonsOlive Oil
1/4cupGrated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, until fragrant.
Add ground beef to the pan. Brown the beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully cooked and no longer pink. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, tossing to combine. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage has softened slightly.
Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir everything together until the cheese melts into a creamy sauce and everything is well combined.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish, spreading it into an even layer.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.
Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For the creamiest result, use full-fat heavy cream and fresh, quality cheese. Feel free to swap in purple cabbage or add extra veggies for nutrition.
