  • 1 32 oz bag Frozen hash brown potato shreds Thawed
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 10.5 oz can Cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 10.5 oz can Cream of celery soup
  • 3 tablespoons Margarine Or butter
  • 0.5 pound Colby cheese Grated

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish for easy cleanup.
  • In a skillet, melt margarine over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, sautéed onions, both soups, and half of the grated cheese.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into the greased baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese.
  • Place in the oven and bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes, or until golden and bubbling around the edges.
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow everything to set. Dig in and enjoy!

Notes

For a crispy top, sprinkle crushed cornflakes or buttery breadcrumbs before baking.
