Ingredients

Butter Base

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter At room temperature for easy mixing.

Flavor Mix-Ins

  • 2 cloves Garlic Finely minced or pressed.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs Chopped parsley, chives, or thyme.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Or cayenne pepper for heat.
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest For a bright, citrusy note.

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, add the softened butter.
  • Add minced garlic, chopped herbs, paprika, lemon zest, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  • Use a fork or hand mixer to blend everything until smooth and well combined.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

Try adding roasted garlic or different herbs for variations. Cowboy butter can be frozen for longer storage.
