Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

Cinnamon Swirl

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

Glaze

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
  • In a large bowl, mix together 3 cups of flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
  • Stir in the milk, eggs, and vanilla until everything is just combined.
  • Slowly add in 1/2 cup of melted butter and mix well.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, and cinnamon.
  • Drop this mixture evenly over the batter and swirl it with a knife to distribute the cinnamon flavor.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour the glaze over the warm cake.
  • Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Don't overmix the batter; stirring until just combined helps keep it fluffy. If you want extra cinnamon flavor, you can sprinkle some cinnamon on top before baking.
