Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted for coating
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until fully combined.
  • In a separate medium bowl, whisk the whole milk, 2 large eggs, 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • While warm, brush the top and sides with 1/4 cup melted butter, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Slice and serve warm or allow to cool before storing.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
