Ingredients
1packageOreo cookies (crushed into fine crumbs)
4ozcream cheese, softened
1cupchocolate chips or chocolate spread
1packagerefrigerated pie crusts (or homemade pie dough)
1egg(for egg wash)
1tbspmilk
1tbspsugar (optional, for sprinkling)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix the crushed Oreo cookies with the softened cream cheese until well combined and forming a dough-like consistency.
Roll out the pie crusts on a lightly floured surface and cut out circles (about 4 inches in diameter) using a cookie cutter or a glass.
Place a spoonful of the Oreo-cream cheese mixture in the center of each dough circle. Add a few chocolate chips or a dollop of chocolate spread on top.
Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges with a fork to seal them properly.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg with milk to make an egg wash. Brush it lightly over each hand pie to give them a golden finish.
Optionally, sprinkle some sugar on top for extra sweetness and crunch.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy warm while the chocolate is gooey and melty!
Notes
For extra crunch, mix in finely crushed nuts or use flavored cream cheese. Store at room temperature for 2 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
