Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Cookie Cutter or Glass

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies (crushed into fine crumbs)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chocolate spread
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade pie dough)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix the crushed Oreo cookies with the softened cream cheese until well combined and forming a dough-like consistency.
  • Roll out the pie crusts on a lightly floured surface and cut out circles (about 4 inches in diameter) using a cookie cutter or a glass.
  • Place a spoonful of the Oreo-cream cheese mixture in the center of each dough circle. Add a few chocolate chips or a dollop of chocolate spread on top.
  • Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges with a fork to seal them properly.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the egg with milk to make an egg wash. Brush it lightly over each hand pie to give them a golden finish.
  • Optionally, sprinkle some sugar on top for extra sweetness and crunch.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool slightly before serving.
  • Enjoy warm while the chocolate is gooey and melty!

Notes

For extra crunch, mix in finely crushed nuts or use flavored cream cheese. Store at room temperature for 2 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
