  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1.5 cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • Whipped Cream or Chocolate Ganache optional
  • Chocolate Shavings or Chips for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
  • In a bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, and vegetable oil until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
  • In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture.
  • Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans.
  • For the fudge filling, heat heavy cream until simmering, then pour over chocolate chips. Whisk until smooth, then stir in butter.
  • To assemble, place one brownie layer on a plate, top with fudge filling, and add the second layer. Frost the top and sides with remaining fudge.
  • Optional: Drizzle with ganache or add whipped cream. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Make sure to not overmix your batter for the perfect texture. Let the cake cool completely before frosting to avoid melting the fudge. For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of espresso powder to the batter.
