Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F and position a rack in the center.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well blended.
Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise so you have two long bread halves. Place them cut side up on a baking sheet.
Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut surface of each bread half. Be generous near the edges for extra crispness.
Bake the bread halves in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, just until the edges start to crisp and the surface is lightly golden.
While the bread toasts, place the cooked spaghetti in a medium bowl and add the marinara sauce. Stir until the noodles are evenly coated.
Spoon the saucy spaghetti onto each toasted bread half, spreading it out in an even layer.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella generously over the spaghetti, covering the surface.
Return the loaded bread to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and starting to brown in spots.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, slice into portions, and serve warm.
Notes
Use day-old or slightly firm bread for best results. Shred your own mozzarella for better melting.
