  • 1 32 oz bag Frozen tater tots Arranged in a single layer for topping.
  • 2 cups Cooked shredded chicken Rotisserie chicken is perfect.
  • 1.5 cups Shredded cheddar cheese Divided, shredded from a block for best melting.
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese Divided, shredded or pre-shredded.
  • 6 slices Bacon Cooked until crisp and crumbled.
  • 1 10.5 oz can Cream of chicken soup Undiluted.
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream Room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 0.5 cup Ranch dressing Any style you prefer.
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper Freshly ground if possible.
  • 1 tbsp Chopped fresh parsley For garnish, optional.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with oil or cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, ranch dressing, garlic powder, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  • Stir in the cooked shredded chicken and half of the crumbled bacon. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Spread the creamy chicken mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken layer.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the tater tots, then scatter the remaining crumbled bacon on top.
  • Bake the casserole uncovered for 40–45 minutes until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let the casserole rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
