Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to beat the ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as per the perforations.
Place a generous spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
Carefully roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end, and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered rolls.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the filling is set.
Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest filling. Real butter adds the best flavor. Avoid margarine or butter substitutes.
