Equipment

  • 9x13 inch Baking Dish
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 cans pre-made cinnamon rolls or equivalent homemade dough, unrolled or prepared according to package instructions
  • 4 large Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup caramel sauce homemade or store-bought, room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  • Prepare the cinnamon rolls according to package instructions or make from scratch. If using canned rolls, press each roll gently to flatten slightly.
  • Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Toss them in a large bowl with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter until evenly coated. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Spread a thin layer of caramel sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Layer the prepared cinnamon rolls over the caramel sauce in a single even layer.
  • Add a layer of the apple mixture on top of the cinnamon rolls, spreading the apples out evenly.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a drizzle of caramel sauce on top.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and the apples are tender.
  • Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
