  • 1 box Yellow Cake Mix 15.25 oz box
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Toffee Bits Think Heath bits or chopped toffee
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips Optional
  • 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and the egg. Stir until the mixture forms a thick batter.
  • Gently fold in the toffee bits and optional chocolate chips.
  • Press about two-thirds of the batter into the greased baking pan to create an even layer on the bottom.
  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the layer of batter, covering it evenly.
  • Crumb the remaining batter over the top of the condensed milk.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

These bars can be served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. They store well in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
