For the donuts
1cupall-purpose flour
2tablespoonsmelted butter
1/4cupplain yogurt
1/4cupmilk of choice
1/3cuppacked light brown sugar
1largeegg
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/4teaspoonbaking soda
1teaspoonbaking powder
1/4teaspoonground nutmeg
1/4teaspoonground cinnamon
1teaspoonvanilla extract
For the chocolate glaze
melted chocolate chips with a splash of cream or butteror your favorite chocolate frosting recipe
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a donut pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk egg, brown sugar, yogurt, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Spoon or pipe batter into donut pan, filling each about 3/4 full.
Bake 9–10 minutes until lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Prepare chocolate glaze and dip the tops of each donut. Let glaze set before serving.
Notes
To make mini donuts, reduce bake time to 6–7 minutes. Store at room temp for 2 days or freeze unglazed donuts for up to 2 months. Reheat gently before glazing.
