Ingredients
1cupUnsalted Butter, melted
1.5cupsBrown Sugar, packed
2largeEggs
2teaspoonsVanilla Extract
2cupsAll-Purpose Flour
1teaspoonBaking Powder
0.5teaspoonSalt
1cupButterscotch Chips
0.75cupToffee Bits
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the bowl. Whisk until everything is fully combined and the mixture is creamy.
In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir gently with a spatula until you have a soft, cohesive dough—avoid overmixing for the best texture.
Fold in the butterscotch chips and toffee bits, making sure they’re evenly spread throughout the dough.
Spread the dough evenly into your prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top for an even finish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes. The bars should be golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing. This helps them set and makes cutting easier.
Notes
For a gourmet touch, add a pinch of flaky sea salt on top before baking.
