Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk Dairy or plant-based.

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Optional.
  • 1 handful Chopped herbs Optional.
  • 1 cup Grated cheese Optional.
  • 1 tablespoon Seeds Optional.

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  • Slowly pour in the milk, stirring constantly with a spoon or spatula, until a thick, slightly sticky dough forms. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread light and tender.
  • If you’re feeling adventurous, add in your favorite extras—try a teaspoon of garlic powder, a handful of chopped herbs, some grated cheese, or a sprinkle of seeds.
  • Heat a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with oil or butter for extra flavor.
  • Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto the hot surface, shaping into rounds about one inch thick. Press gently to flatten if needed.
  • Cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown and bubbles form on top. Flip with a spatula and cook for another 3-5 minutes, until both sides are lightly browned and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  • Remove from the skillet, cool for one minute, and enjoy warm with your favorite toppings or dips.

Notes
