Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract and black food coloring.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Mix until just combined.
Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool completely.
For the filling, beat marshmallow fluff and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
Remove a small portion from the center of each cooled cupcake and fill with the marshmallow mixture.
For the frosting, beat butter until creamy, then gradually add cocoa powder and powdered sugar. Add milk and vanilla extract, beating until fluffy.
Frost filled cupcakes and decorate as desired.
