Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch cake pans.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, black cocoa, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
Mix in buttermilk, oil, vanilla extract, and vinegar.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Add black food coloring to achieve the desired color.
Divide batter into cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Let cakes cool before frosting.
