  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a medium skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, thawed hashbrowns, and biscuit pieces.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, flour, salt, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until smooth.
  • Pour the milk mixture over the sausage and hashbrown mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Let cool slightly before serving and enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter version, use turkey sausage and reduced-fat cheese. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra flavor.
