Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced yellow onion until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
Season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the diced dill pickles, 1 cup Thousand Island dressing, and mayo until evenly combined. Turn off the heat.
Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the top.
Bake, uncovered, for 35-40 minutes or until the tater tots are crisp and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
Top with shredded lettuce and drizzle with the remaining Thousand Island dressing just before serving.
Serve hot and enjoy your homemade Big Mac casserole!
Notes
Use lean ground beef to keep the casserole from getting greasy. Don’t skip the pickles for the signature tang!
