  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, vegetable oil, and sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
  • Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder, and fold the ingredients together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  • Stir in the chocolate chips, if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Do not overbake.
  • Let cool before slicing into fudgy brownies.

Notes

These brownies are perfect on their own, but you can also serve them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
