Equipment

  • Casserole Dish
  • Sauté Pan

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Garlic

  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced

Brown Sugar

  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar

Olive Oil

  • 3 teaspoons olive oil

Seasoning

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) and lightly grease a casserole dish with olive oil.
  • Step 2: In a small sauté pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until tender and fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 3: Remove the garlic from heat and stir in the brown sugar until dissolved to create a glaze.
  • Step 4: Arrange the chicken breasts in the baking dish, spoon the glaze over each breast, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 5: Bake uncovered for 15-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Step 6: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic when sautéing. You can reduce the brown sugar slightly if watching sugar intake, but it is crucial for caramelization.
