  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish (about 8×8-inch or a 1.5-quart casserole) with butter or nonstick spray.
  • In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, granulated sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth. Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of your prepared dish.
  • Spoon the caramel apple pie filling gently on top of the cream cheese layer, creating an even layer from edge to edge.
  • In a separate small bowl, combine flour, melted butter, and brown sugar. Mix with a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the apple filling.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the topping begins to turn golden brown and everything is bubbling at the edges.
  • Cool for 5 minutes, then swirl with caramel sundae topping to finish.
  • Serve warm with vanilla wafers, crackers, or pretzels on the side for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, use apple pie filling with cinnamon or add a whisper of extra ground cinnamon to the cream cheese layer.
