Avocado, Mozzarella, and Tomato Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

Bread of choice

  • 2 slices Bread (sourdough, whole grain, or white)

Avocado

  • 1 Avocado, sliced

Cheese

  • 2 slices Mozzarella cheese

Tomato

  • 1 Tomato, sliced

Oils and Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Instructions

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
  • Layer with sliced avocado, mozzarella slices, and tomato.
  • Drizzle lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  • Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up.
  • Cook for 2–3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until browned and the cheese is melted.
  • Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe but firm avocado for best texture. Add basil or pesto for extra flavor. Best served fresh—reheat in a skillet for crispiness.
