Apple Pie Biscuits

INGREDIENTS

1 refrigerated tube – 8 buttermilk biscuits
21 ounce can apple pie filling
½ stick – unsalted butter (4 tbsp)
½ cup brown sugar
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
Glazed Topping
½ cup powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons heavy cream
.

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. This recipe is best made with a 10 inch round pan or skillet. But you can use a 9-inch pan also.
Melt the butter and brush the sides of your round pan with it. Set aside the remaining butter.
Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small bowl. Take each biscuit and dip the top, side and bottom in the mixture to coat them and then place them in the prepared pan. When finished, set aside the rest of the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg mixture.
Pour the apple pie filling into a bowl. Then slice the apples into small bite size pieces and mix in the vanilla extract. Spoon the apple filling all over the top of your biscuits.
Then sprinkle the remaining brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg mixture over the top and drizzle with the remaining butter.
Bake for 35 minutes. It may take longer if you are using a 9-inch pan.
To make the glaze mix the powdered sugar and heavy cream until combined.
Drizzle the glaze on top and serve while warm.
